Recognize and model steel and concrete profiles directly from point cloud data inside AutoCAD. Click points on the scan to measure cross-sections, match them against standard profile databases, and place accurate 3D solids — ready for structural documentation.
Structural modeling tools for scan-to-BIM workflows.
Identify steel profiles by clicking points on the outside of the scanned cross-section. The software measures the dimensions and automatically matches them against a built-in database of standard profiles including HEA, HEB, HEM, IPE, IPN, UNP, UPE, angle profiles (L), box sections (Koker/RHS/SHS), and round tubes (CHS). If the automatic match isn’t exactly right, navigate through larger or smaller profiles with a single click until you find the correct one. Every recognized profile is placed as an accurate 3D solid with the exact dimensions from the database.
Model concrete elements the same way — click points on the scan to define rectangular beams, columns, and walls, or circular columns and piles. Measured dimensions are rounded to standard sizes or matched against the profile database. The result is a clean 3D solid positioned and oriented exactly as measured from the point cloud.
Adjust placed profiles without starting over. Use grip editing to change length and position, extend or shorten multiple profiles at once with multi-select, or resize a profile to a different standard size from the database. All changes maintain the correct cross-section geometry and XData linking.
Every placed profile carries embedded XData with profile type, dimensions, position, and database reference. This keeps your model fully traceable — from the original scan measurement to the final 3D solid. Ready for structural documentation and export.
